Currently Listening: John Mayer - Heavier Things
Its amazing how powerful human touch is. You can touch somebody and it can say far, far, far more than any words. Maybe it doesnt say more, maybe it just "says" whatever it is, better. Its a crazy way of communication. It's awesome. I got to see Brooke last weekend and just being able to touch added such a dimension to the relationship that could never be reached on the phone. It was really neat experiancing that.
Tangent- A friend of mine here at school made up this term: eroge (pronounced e-rosh) which is that goofy romantic stage before dating. He realized there is a natural progression to touch, which goes something like this: hugging to holding hands to kissing to who knows what else. But before all that, there is a stage that doesn't have a name. Hence eroge. Its when, oh say, your leg touches your potential datee and you both know it happens, but niether one ackowledges it. they just leave it and enjoy it for what it is: touch.
This is completely unrelated, but i was riding my longboard today and took a huge spill. Ouch. I chewed up my hands pretty good and took a chunk out of my knee. Despite how much it hurt, isn't there something about ending your day having known you pushed your body to its limit? Its a pretty satisfying feeling. I think thats one (of the many) reasons i love camp so much. You go to bed with scratches on your arms, achy ankles, and sore forearms. Its your body's way of telling you, "that was a day well spent".
I need to keep doing this. I like writing.
Peace.Eric.
