I sat in my friend Kyle's room tonight and happened upon one of the coolest books i have seen in a long time. The book is called "The dangerous book for boys." Obviously, the title alone is an immediate grab but as you look deeper into it's pages, you find so many of your own memories. The book is all about those things you were interested in as a boy: knots, secret inks, battles...The list goes on. Its a shame that so many people lose these natural feelings of adventure as they grow up. Its very easy to, but essential that we dont. Every man has boyish tendencies. You can never outrun them, though you can hide them quite well. Its so fun to be dangerous, to be on edge, to be adventurous. You dont think God would put these amazing instincts in us? They make life interesting.
We are also well balanced. Girls are crazy! No matter how couragous a man becomes, no matter how much like stone, put him in front of a girl he is romantically interested in and what do you get? Putty. Thats crazy. God is a genius.
